Kia Seltos Price & Variants: Kia
offers the Seltos in two trims: Tech Line and GT Line. The Tech Line is
available in five variants -- HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+ -- priced between
Rs 9.89 lakh and Rs 16.34 lakh. The GT Line can be bought in two variants --
GTX, and GTX+ -- priced from Rs 15.54 lakh to Rs 17.34 lakh (ex-showroom
pan-India).
Kia Seltos Engine, Transmission, and Mileage: It comes with three BS6-compliant engine options: a 1.5-litre petrol, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel. While the 1.5-litre petrol motor is rated at 115PS/144Nm, the diesel engine puts out 115PS/ 250Nm. The 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which has an output of 140PS/242Nm, is only offered with the GT Line variants. It is available with either a 6-speed manual or various automatic transmission options depending on the engine. In case of automatic transmissions, the diesel engine gets a 6-speed torque converter while the petrol is either paired to a CVT or a DCT gearbox. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol can be paired to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission). Kia claims a fuel efficiency of 16.5kmpl for the petrol-manual and 16.8kmpl for the petrol-CVT variants. The diesel manual’s claimed fuel efficiency figure stands at 21kmpl while the 6-speed AT’s stands at 18kmpl. Baleno Price and Variants: The Baleno is offered in four variants: Sigma,
Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. It is priced in the range of Rs 5.63 lakh to Rs 8.96
lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Baleno Engine, Transmission and Mileage: Maruti
offers the Baleno with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine
(83PS/113Nm) that comes mated to either a 5-speed MT or a CVT gearbox. The
hatchback also gets a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech
that puts out 90PS and 113Nm. It comes paired to a 5-speed MT and is available
only in the Delta and Zeta variants. Maruti claims a mileage of 21.01kmpl for
the petrol-manual variants, while those with the CVT gearbox return 19.56kmpl.
On the other hand, the Dualjet petrol mild-hybrid powertrain has a claimed fuel
efficiency of 23.87kmpl.
